As of April 1, 2024, the North Dakota CPA Board announced a policy change that allows candidates to count unlimited economics courses toward fulfilling the business-related coursework requirement for the CPA examination.

This change reflects a recognition of the interdisciplinary nature of accounting and the value of diverse educational backgrounds in preparing candidates for success in the profession and opens up the CPA Examination to more applicants.  At FACS, a leading international credential evaluation service, and current Charter Member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), we recognize the positive impact this change will have on CPA candidates, particularly international students and professionals.  We encourage applicants to review all other requirements, as our focus is solely on the education requirements.

Embarking on a rebranding journey for your business is an exciting yet challenging endeavor. A successful rebrand can breathe new life into your company, helping you connect with your target audience in a fresh and meaningful way.

One of the critical decisions you’ll make during this process is choosing the right branding agency to guide you through the transformation.

Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.

– Steve Jobs

Open communication and shared values

Begin your search by researching branding agencies that have a strong track record in delivering successful rebranding projects. Look for agencies that have experience in your industry and a portfolio that resonates with your brand’s aesthetic and values.

When evaluating potential agencies, consider their expertise in various aspects of branding, such as logo design, messaging, visual identity, and market research. Review case studies of their past rebranding projects to gauge the level of creativity and effectiveness they bring to the table.

Realizing your brand’s full potential

A successful partnership with a branding agency depends on more than just their skills – cultural fit is equally important. During initial consultations, assess whether the agency understands your brand’s values and can work collaboratively with your team. Open communication and shared values will contribute to a smoother rebranding process.

Discuss the agency’s creative process during your consultations. A great branding agency should be able to articulate its approach to brainstorming, conceptualizing, and executing branding concepts. Their ideas should resonate with your vision while bringing a fresh perspective to the table.

Essential insights on how to pick the perfect agency

  1. Request references from past clients who have undergone rebranding projects with the agencies on your shortlist. Reach out to these clients to gather insights into their experiences.
  2. Discuss the agency’s creative process during your consultations. A great branding agency should be able to articulate their approach to brainstorming, conceptualizing, and executing branding concepts.
  3. Be upfront about your budget constraints, and ensure that the agency can work within your financial parameters.
  4. Inquire about the agency’s ability to adapt to these changes and keep your brand relevant in the long term.

Conclusion

After considering all the practical factors, trust your instincts when making the final decision. Choose an agency that not only aligns with your goals but also gives you the confidence that they can bring your rebranding vision to life.

Picking the right branding agency for your rebranding project is a critical step toward realizing your brand’s full potential. By defining your goals, evaluating experience, checking references, and ensuring a cultural fit, you can make an informed decision that sets your rebrand up for success.

[fusion_dropcap]G[/fusion_dropcap]reat news for Guam ICAI (India) applicants!

The Guam Board of Accountancy has requested that we include all examinations of the ICAI in their advisory evaluations. Applicants who completed the Foundation/Intermediate/Final Examination system prior to the introduction of the Professional Education Examination system have already had their ICAI examinations included in the advisory evaluation if they were provided. Please note that in most cases, the Foundation Examination/Common Proficiency Test, by itself, is considered a repeat of courses completed, and does not count toward education requirements.

First. Is this for me?

You are eligible to apply for this amendment if:

    • You received a completed advisory evaluation for the Guam Board of Accountancy from FACS, Inc., and
    • You completed ICAI examinations in the programs following the Foundation/Intermediate/Final system (i.e., Professional Education Examination and beyond), and
    • Your ICAI examinations were started prior to the date of your advisory evaluation

Great! How does the process work?

If you are eligible for the FACS, Inc. advisory evaluation amendment, please provide us with notarized copies of your ICAI examination results via post. Please note that if your evaluation was completed in 2015 or later, we have your submitted documents on file. If your advisory evaluation was completed prior to 2015, you must submit notarized copies by post. Emailed examination results are not acceptable.

Please mail your notarized examination results to the following address:

FACS, Inc.
105 W. Vandalia St., Ste.120
Edwardsville, IL 62025

There is an administrative fee of US$50.00 for the amendment to your advisory evaluation. Please note that this amendment is not required.
If you would like to amend your advisory evaluation to include your ICAI examinations, please click here for the form you must complete.

If you are not interested in including your ICAI examinations in the advisory evaluation, please disregard.

Yes, I would like to have my evaluation amended!

A couple of great things in Chicago…

First.

Do yourself a favor.  Go have a slice at Bongiorno’s Cucina Italiana & Pizzeria.  If you’re looking for a huge piece of bread with pizza toppings, walk on.  This ain’t that.  What you will get is a taste explosion.  On a thinnish crust.  Where you can actually taste more than bread.  Do yourself a favor.  Add minced garlic.  You’re welcome.

Second.

Billy Goat Tavern.  Do you trust Mike Royko’s opinion?  If so, check it out.  If not, check it out anyway.  And a couple of Pro-Tips – DON’T ask for fries.  Chips only at this joint.  DON’T ask for Pepsi.  It’s Coke here.  Double Cheezborger is the way to go.  Pile on lots of onions.  If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to score a BGT Cubs tee.  The Billy Goat Curse is broken.  The storied history of this place may have been critical in this victory of the Chicago Cubs.  Saturday Night Live even recognized that respect is due.  Check out the SNL Sketch CHEEZBORGER that alerted the rest of the country to this place.
